    What are Supporting Documents?

    The supporting documents are: official transcripts, test scores and letters of evaluation.

    Is it required that my letters of evaluation be on official letterhead and signed?

    Yes. Your letters of evaluation must be on official letterhead and must include the author's signature.

    Do I need to send TMDSAS updated transcripts after I submit the application?

    Once the application has been submitted, it is the applicant's responsibility to send updated transcripts after each semester that new coursework has been completed. This applies to any coursework taken between the time you apply and the time you enter medical school.

    * Make sure all planned coursework has been entered into the [College Coursework] section of your application.

    When are transcripts due?

    It is recommended that transcripts be received by the application deadline.


    1. Transcripts for planned or future coursework are not due until the term has been completed and grades have been reported.
    2. Transcripts in support of an Early Decision Program application are due on August 1st.
    3. If you are applying under the Fresh Start Provision, ALL college transcript must be received before we are able to process your application so please make certain that all transcripts are sent in to us in a timely manner.

    Can I send an official sealed copy of my transcripts?

    Yes. TMDSAS will accept transcripts mailed by the applicant. The transcript must be in a sealed envelope from the registrar. Transcripts cannot be more than a year old (i.e. cannot have a print date more than a year old).

    How do I release my MCAT scores?

    Please refer to the Admission Tests page for instructions on how to release your MCAT scores.

    Do I need to list voided test dates?

    No. You do not need to list the dates of exams that you voided at the time of the exam.

    What if TMDSAS does not have my MCAT score but AAMC notes they have released it to TMDSAS?

    This is an indication that the AAMC ID, the date of birth, or the test dates that you entered on your application do not match what is being sent by AAMC.

    First, go to the application and ensure that you have entered your AAMC ID, date of birth and test dates correctly. Next, you should also verify that AAMC has the correct data on file.  We have a large number of scores that do not match because AAMC has incorrect DOB’s on file.

    If any of the data is incorrect with AAMC, you must have them correct the information on their end and then resend the score to TMDSAS.

    If what you have entered on your TMDSAS application matches what AAMC has on file, you will need to call TMDSAS. You must have your receipt of test score release from AAMC on hand when you call.

    Do I need to update my TMDSAS application if I change my mind about taking the MCAT exam?

    Yes, you need to notify TMDSAS immediately if you decide not to take the MCAT exam or decide on a different date or decide to retake the exam. You may make this change at any time during the application cycle by logging into your application and making the change in the [Test Scores] section.

    Will taking the MCAT after July delay my application processing?

    It will not cause a delay in TMDSAS processing your application. However, if you are taking the MCAT for the first time in July - September, be aware that the medical schools may not complete the review of your application until the MCAT score has been received. Because of this it is highly recommended that you take the MCAT in January, March, April or May.
